Community engagement can only be sustained by identifying and mobilizing community assets and strengths and by developing the community’s capacity and resources to make decisions and take action. We believe that when operating at their maximum potential, communities thrive. Our vision is to transform ordinary citizens into extraordinary civic leaders through routine, strategic and systematic workshops focused on four areas of nonprofit effectiveness and sustainability (based on the research conducted by the TCC Group): adaptability, leadership, management, program and technical capacities. LCC’s TLS workshops are affordable, timely and open to the public. Attendees find an environment for networking, sharing, benchmarking, brainstorming and learning. Community members have the opportunity to explore and examine issues facing their community and shape future workshop offerings. We host 4 to 5 seminars per year and these are typically held in the evening and run for 1 1/2 hours.
